Well the Summer is almost over and so is the wedding season for the Indian Brides. This doesnt stop the portfolio building process and learning new things. It especially is a challenge for atika studios as we are trying to break into a new market of concerts and commercial photography and videography work. we were lucky to get couple of first chances with the great A.R. Rehman Show back in June and Today that is August 29 2010 we have yet another opportunity to show our talents at the Gurdas Mann Live in Concert show.
Atika Studios will be offering its Photo & Video Services with Live Video Feeds throughout the concert. Details on this concert is as follows:

Atika Studios got it’s first ever chance to get represented at an American Bridal Expo and It was a unique experience. We have both our photographers represent the team and help the brides understand our products. Thanks to Bridal Expo Chicago we had a successful followups on the first day after the expo was over.
We got to schedule about 3 FREE consulatations with our new brides for 2011 year on the day of the show.
Atika Studios & its team would like to thank Amy Craig from Bridal Expo Chicago who organized such an amazing show. Also we would like to thank the Belvedere Banquets for letting us setup there as it was surely a momentous day for them as well.

We got to take the beautiful couple downtown in between the wedding and reception. Our skilled videographer Jason was able to direct a beautiful shot embedded it into the mini-highlight and created a stunning memory for everyone.

Look at any wedding and you would realise that it is not just the big, overwhelming moments but the small sweet-nothings inbetween that make wedding the big day.
Our photographers are in constant search of those small little things. In fact, we spend a good time trying to click them to perfection. Did you know there is a story behind every small decoration of a wedding? For instance, the perfect delicate bridal shoe that completes the breath-taking vision of the bride walking down the aisle? or the perfect seating plan to get your most loved ones closer to you when you say “I do”?
We all take pleasure and immense care to make every tiny arrangement of the wedding a thing of beauty. It is just our way to convey to the bride and the groom that we care…capturing it rightly and framing it forever is perhaps a touching gift to the ones who helped you enjoy your day better!

There is a similarity between the month of January and Weddings – both bring with it a fresh lease of new life. And this year, Atika Studios got the best of both by capturing some real exciting Chicago weddings.
Yes, our talented photographers got great opportunities right at the beginning of the year covering some of the most memorable Chicago weddings. Some of them were touching and others extremely fun-filled. Yet, the common factor in all of them was a new hope for a new tomorrow. Like the photo below:
We loved the way the bride’s eyes shone with dreams of her future family. It was a very touching moment in the wedding with the final good byes to her present life, and walking towards her future. Capturing this important moment for her was very fulfilling for our photographer and of course, the bride was thrilled to add this in her collection. We wish her all the best!
Another of our personal favorites is at the muslim wedding we covered a couple of weeks back. Though set in the modern landscape, the wedding was traditional to the hilt. Friends and families gathered to give the best time to the proud groom and shy bride at the wedding venue. An emotional gathering, it brought out the concoction of faith, trust and dreams in the most pristine form. We thought this picture captured it for all of us.
That is the beauty of a good photograph. It reveals what words cannot and only a skilled photographer can do that job for you. We, at Atika Studios, strive to capture those magical moments on the most important day of your life. We have more weddings including some exciting destination weddings in the coming months.

This happens to be the First Bridal Expo for the year 2010 at which Atika Studios is showcasing its skills and creativity and what a great start it was!
A whopping 35 Brides registered themselves at our booth asking for photography and videography services. These are great numbers in such a short time and we are so looking forward to meet them again on their big day!
In order to understand our customers better and what really attracts them to us, we conducted a short survey with the prospective brides at the expo and the results have proved to be a great help to us. Majority of the respondents pointed out that it was the creative photos displayed as enlargements as well as photo flush albums at the booth that attracted them to Atika Studios. We, at Atika Studios, give importance to each and every photo ever clicked and it was a proud moment for us that the skill was recognized by so many.

Yes, we are now members of the prestigious two associations for photographers – SEP (Society of Sports and Events Photographers) and WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International). Established to serve as guiding source to niche photographers, both associations have gone beyond that in helping photographers shoot better images.
This membership means a lot to Atika Studios. Firstly, because for the amazing resources we would be exposed to as members. Since we went professional just about a year ago, it is vital that we base our growth on strong foundation. Membership at these reputed and trusted associations means access to some of the best resources in event and wedding photography and a chance to further our company with the best of skills! We have been busy with some of the handsome Chicago weddings, modern portrait sessions of bride and groom, and other family photography to capture those beautiful moments. It is exciting to know that we would now be backed by more techniques and tricks that would help us shoot images even more stunning.
Also, with every passing day, we have been adding more photographers to our small little cult of passionate photographers, and hence, this membership comes as a great bonus for us. It is an amazing opportunity to learn and intensify our passion for this great art, called photography.
Secondly, both SEP and WPPI are powerful communities that expose us to not just photographers but everyone who love about photography. It would be interesting to meet like-minded people and of course, a wonderful opportunity to learn and unlearn some of our trades. The communities at these associations have proved to be excellent hives for knowledge and growth prospects and we are so ready to dive in to it.
Networking is essential for photographers especially for niche photographers who cover occasions like wedding. Not everyday one gets married and sometimes, those cocktail hours are far and in between. These vibrant communities help us move ahead in all seasons. In fact, these communities act as excellent forums to showcase a photographer’s work and an exhibition is always great news for people in our profession!
Atika Studios is thrilled to be part of these buzzing associations. We hope to make the best use of this association to keep building our dream – to produce images that tell stories.
